Exploring Vail, Colorado

Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Vail is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, world-class skiing, and charming alpine village. Recently, my husband and I had the pleasure of experiencing a memorable 3-day weekend stay at The Hythe Hotel, immersing ourselves in the beauty and adventure that Vail has to offer.

Our weekend began with a smooth check-in at The Hythe on Friday afternoon, where we were greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains. Eager to start our culinary journey, we headed to Vail Chophouse for dinner, where we indulged in perfectly cooked steaks and local wines, setting the tone for a delightful weekend ahead.

Each morning, we started our day with the hotel's amazing breakfast buffet, offering a variety of fresh fruits, pastries, and made-to-order omelets, fueling us for a day on the slopes. One of the highlights of our stay was the convenience of renting our ski gear directly from the hotel, saving us valuable time and allowing us to hit the slopes early on Saturday.

Saturday was dedicated to skiing, and Vail did not disappoint. With its vast terrain and powdery snow, we spent the day exploring the slopes, taking in the breathtaking views from the mountain peaks. After a day of skiing, we indulged in the famous hot chocolate at the Four Seasons Hotel during après ski, a perfect way to unwind and relax.

In the evening, we explored Vail Village, a charming European-style village filled with boutique shops, art galleries, and cozy cafes. For dinner, we dined at La Tour, a culinary gem known for its exquisite French cuisine and elegant ambiance, a perfect end to a perfect day.

On Sunday, we enjoyed a leisurely stroll around Lionshead Village, savoring coffee and pastries as we admired the quaint charm of the village. Reluctantly, we departed from The Hythe, leaving Vail with unforgettable memories and a longing to return.

Our weekend in Vail was truly a magical experience, filled with adventure, relaxation, and culinary delights. The Hythe Hotel provided the perfect base for our stay, offering luxury accommodations, impeccable service, and a convenient location. Vail's natural beauty and vibrant atmosphere captured our hearts, and we cannot wait to return for another unforgettable weekend getaway.
