A Relaxing Weekend at Park Hyatt Aviara with Hyatt & Visit Carlsbad

I recently had the pleasure of spending a fun and relaxing weekend at Park Hyatt Aviara, hosted by Hyatt and Visit Carlsbad. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow travel agents and immerse myself in all the luxuries this beautiful resort has to offer.

Upon arrival, I was welcomed into a spacious King Coastal View room with stunning views of the ocean and the golf course. The room was thoughtfully appointed with amenities, including a beautiful flower arrangement and an amazing chocolate sculpture that was almost too pretty to eat.

The welcome reception was a fantastic start to the weekend. Held in one of the many elegant event spaces, it featured delicious cocktails and food. The lobster risotto and dessert waffle bar were definite highlights. We ended the night with a few swings in the Top Golf Suite, which was a blast.

The next morning started perfectly with coffee on my terrace, overlooking the serene water. I then headed to the world-class Miraval spa for a Rise & Shine yoga session in one of their state-of-the-art fitness class rooms. In addition to yoga, the spa offers a variety of fitness classes including Pilates, spin, and meditation.

I spent the rest of the morning relaxing in the spa, soaking in all their fabulous amenities such as the eucalyptus steam room, a luxurious relaxation lounge, and the serene outdoor pool. The Miraval spa also offers personalized treatments like massages, facials, and body treatments.

Lunch was a delightful Mexican al fresco experience on the lawn, complete with a tequila tasting class and a churro bar for dessert. After lunch, we took golf carts down to the racquet facilities to play pickleball. Some participants were pros, while others, like myself, were amateurs. The racquet pro, Steve, was there to help us learn the rules and provide lessons before our small tournament.

The afternoon was spent exploring the resort, which boasts an adult pool, a kids' pool with waterslides, a nice walking path, and more. Our farewell cocktail reception was hosted on the 18th hole of their world-class golf course, known for its challenging layout and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed live music, a gorgeous sunset, delicious cocktails, and food before playing glow golf and indulging in dessert. The sushi was the highlight of the meal!

On the last morning, we gathered at the main restaurant, Ponto Lago, for their incredible breakfast buffet. After enjoying a final dip in the pool, we said our goodbyes. It was an amazing weekend with friends, both new and old, and I can’t wait to return for another staycation at Park Hyatt Aviara.
